The NAZ OSCARS (nOSCARS) is NAZ’s annual black-tie celebration which brings attention to the HIV epidemic, endeavour to increase HIV awareness and knowledge and speak out against HIV stigma and homophobia.
Now in our 8th year, the nOSCARS is a red-carpet event filled with live music, entertainment and comedy where we don’t shy from sharing personal stories, HIV stats and addressing serious issues, particularly where it comes to highlighting the gap between the sexual health outcomes of Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities compared to the general population. BAME communities have a huge difference in their experiences within sexual health services and receive different cultural and socio-economic contexts when it comes to accessing culturally appropriate treatments.
Showcasing both innovation and the community impacts of ongoing programmes across the sexual health sector, the nOSCARS is dedicated to raising the profile of people and work making headway in improving the sexual health and wellbeing of our BAME communities.
